Julie Rau Middlebrooks, age 50, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. Julie was born July 15, 1972 the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Sidney Middlebrooks. A visitation/reception will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road. Burial will be private.
Julie was a graduate of First Presbyterian Day School, Class of 1990 and was a graduate of the University of Georgia, Class of 1995. Upon graduation she moved to Telluride, Colorado where she enjoyed snow skiing and snowboarding. She returned to Macon in 1998 and worked for Delta Airlines for a brief period as a flight attendant and later was an employee of City Club of Macon. For many years she designed original pieces of jewelry for her friends, family and clients. She loved the family condominium on Fernandina Beach, Florida and spent many happy hours there.
Julie is survived by her parents, Susan Rau Middlebrooks and Sidney Eugene Middlebrooks of Macon; brother, Sidney Eugene Middlebrooks, Jr. of Macon; aunts and uncles, Henry & Shirley Middlebrooks of Macon, Eugene Kernaghan of Macon, and Mrs. Louis B. Rau of Huntsville, AL; and many cousins.
From a young age Julie always loved animals. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All About Animals, 101 Riverside Drive, Macon 31201 or to the donor's favorite charity.
