Kathleen H. Duffey

Kathleen H. Duffey, 81, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at2 p.m., Thursday at Avondale Baptist Church with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Marty Watson will officiate. The family will meet friends from 5 – 7 p.m., Wednesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue and may be contacted at the residence of Raymond Hattaway, 4748 Bennett Road, Macon. Those who wish may make contributions to Avondale Baptist Church, 6970 Cochran Field Road, Macon 31216.

Mrs. Duffey, wife of the late Terrance Duffey, was a lifelong resident of Macon and was the daughter of the late Jack and Rosa Pearl Pope Hattaway. She was a graduate of Miller High School and was a legal secretary retired from the Law Firm of Tommy C. Mann. Mrs. Duffey was a member of Avondale Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by brothers, Reuben W. Hattaway, Howard Hattaway, Clayton Hattaway and a sister, Bertha Modena.

Survivors include her children, Gregory K. Walker. John C. Walker, III, Gary W. Duffey, Harriet E. Walker, Terry Duffey and Wanda Robertson; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her brothers, Raymond Hattaway, Larry Hattaway and Charles Hattaway; her sister, Lillian Carter; and many nieces and nephews.
