

John Lang Touchton, 66, passed away Wednesday at a local hospital. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 22nd at Harvest Cathedral on Rocky Creek Road with interment in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Pastor Steve Sawyer, Bishop Sam Drye, Pastor Don Thomas and Pastor Trey Jones will conduct the service. The family will meet friends from 10 a.m. to service time at the church.
Lang was born in Ocala, Florida and lived most of his life in the Middle Georgia area. He was a 1947 graduate of Lanier High School and served in the U. S. Army for five years with the 101st Airborne Division. Lang was owner of T T & E for the past twenty years and had been in the electrical business since his service in the Armed Forces. Lang was preceded in death by his father, John Henry Touchton.
Lang served faithfully at Harvest Cathedral for twenty years and received his ministry license through Destiny Life Ministries International. He served as the First Elder of the River Church in Thomasville, Georgia for the past five years. His heart for the nations took him to Romania and Mexico where he helped construct a church.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-seven years, Linda Stokes Touchton; his sons, Chris (Paula) Touchton, Shannon (Kristie) Touchton; three grandchildren Alana, Cole and Fairlee Touchton; his mother, Leslie Schrimshire; his sister, Patsy Atkinson; his brother, Wayne (Ann) Touchton and several nieces and nephews.
