Linda Orren Brooks

Linda Orren Brooks passed away Monday, March 31, 2025. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Forest Hills Church with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Rev. Jeremy Wilson will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Forest Hills Church, Backpack Ministry, 1217 Forest Hill Road, Macon 31210.

Mrs. Brooks was born in Prescott, Arkansas the daughter of the late Everett Orren and Mary Avery Orren and was the widow of Lyle Emory Brooks, II. She was retired as a science teacher after 26 years at Northeast High School. Mrs. Brooks was a member of Forest Hills Church for 39 years and lead the Pumpkin Patch at the church where she was deemed "The Pumpkin Queen". She was also a large volunteer for Walk to Emmaus, Backpack Ministry, and Kairos Prison Ministry.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by her sons, Craig Brooks (Amanda) of Macon, and Aaron Brooks (Kellie) of Macon; grandchildren, Mattison and Christopher both of Macon; mother, Mary Orren of Prescott, AR; brother, Dale Orren of Prescott, AR; a nephew, Robert Orren (Sharla).

Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road, has charge of arrangements.
