

Lowell W. Mayhall passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014. Mr. Mayhall was born in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of the late Howard W. and Lucille Mayhall. He attended Male High School in Louisville and Western Kentucky University. Mr. Mayhall was a retired employee of Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corporation. He was assigned to the Macon, Georgia Branch from the B&W Louisville, Kentucky manufacturing operations as General Superintendent – Leaf Department. He was involved with the construction and start-up phases of leaf storage and processing for the Macon Branch factory.
Lowell was an avid outdoorsman who trained his own horses and bird dogs. He was a Field Trial Judge as well as competitor at many trial events in Southern Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Georgia.
Mr. Mayhall was preceded in death by his wife, Jenny Lysle Mayhall. He is survived by his brother, John David Mayhall (Linda) of Louisville, KY; nieces, Bonnie Sue LeCompte (Tom) and Leigh Ann Black (Jeff); great nephews, Dr. Michael LeCompte (Nina), Phillip LeCompte, Christian Claar and Jonathan Claar.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, May 16 at Pearl Webb Cemetery in Canmer, Kentucky. The family will greet friends following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Pearl Webb Cemetery, Canmer, Kentucky.
