

Edith Marie Dominy, 90, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Joe McDaniel willl officiate. The family will meet friends from 12:30 p.m. to service time on Sunday at the funeral home. They suggest that those who wish make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201.
Mrs. Dominy, wife of the late James Woody Dominy, Sr., was born in Butler the daughter of the late Henry Martin Parker and Ella Mae Booth Parker. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, Thomaston and had lived in Macon a number of years before moving to Peachtree City. Mrs. Dominy and her husband had owned and operated several grocery stores in Macon and she retired from Borden Dairy Co. For many years she was a loyal member of Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Dominy was preceded in death by her daughter, Angelin Dominy Fischer, her son, James “Jim” W. Dominy, Jr. and her sisters, Lillian Smith, Joyce Golik and Annette Suddeth.
Survivors include her sisters, Lelia Mae McKinley and Johnzalene Parker Burris; her brother, Henry Martin Parker, Jr. and many nieces and nephews.
