

Marilyn James, 77, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Pine Pointe Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Mark Magoni and the Rev. Mark Addington will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Friday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Wesley United Methodist Church, 4256 Hartley Bridge Road, Macon, GA 31216.
Mrs. James, wife of the late Bobby Lee James, was born in Rochelle, GA the daughter of the late Charlie LaFayette Ham and Gladys Corinne Penney Ham. She was a bookkeeper retired from Cherokee Culvert and was a volunteer with the Cherry Blossom Festival. Mrs. James was member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she was very active in the life of her church serving as a Lay Leader. Mrs. James is the sister of the late Charles Ham.
Survivors include her children, Mike (Susan) McCollum of Columbus, Pat McCollum and Penney McCollum, of Macon, Tim (Doris) McCollum of Myrtle Beach, SC, Denise (Jeff) Mayes of Macon and Bobby James of Macon; her sisters, Gayle Sanders and Donna Gautier.
