Mary Lee Hays

Mary Lee Hays, 80, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Vineville United Methodist Church with Dr. Marcus Tripp officiating. Visitation will follow in the sanctuary. The family suggests that any memorials be made to the donor’s favorite charity.

Mrs. Hays was educated in Bibb County Schools and graduated from Mercer University, where she received a B.S. degree. After graduation, she was certified as a Medical Technologist at the Medical College of Georgia and worked both there and at Talmadge Memorial Hospital in Augusta. Upon returning to Macon, she worked at Bank of America for twenty years as a financial analyst.

Mrs. Hays was preceded in death by her parents, John Millard and Lucile Greene and siblings, John Millard, Jr. and Dorothy Greene. She is survived by her husband, Guy M. Hays; son, David Rozier, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Macon; daughter, Millie Thorsson and her husband, Agust of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Helen Catherine, Caroline and Coleman Rozier of Macon and Patrick and Maggie Thorsson of Tallahassee, FL; nephew, Scotty Greene (Margaret) of Atlanta; nieces, Darah Greene Dufresne (Duke) and Leslie Greene Yarbrough all of Birmingham, AL.
