

Nellie French Jones, 95, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 in Forsyth, Georgia. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Pastor Robbie Jones officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, North Gate. The family will greet friends at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street on Thursday, June 4 from 7 until 9 p.m.
Nellie was born in Pottersville, Georgia to the late Seaborn Elonza French and Mable Windham French. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Frank Jones, and children, Ann J. Stubbs, Walter G. Jones Sr. and Charles G. Jones. Nellie was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church for 38 years. She was in the Young at Heart Sunday School Class. Nellie enjoyed sewing, needlework and jigsaw puzzles and she was an avid walker at the Macon Mall. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Nellie was very devoted to her family.
Survivors include her children, Dennis (Janet) Jones, Susan (Gregg) Podwolsky, Carolyn (Joe) Edwards, Linda (Mike) Lyles; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
