

Jackie, 87, was surrounded by her loving family and friends when she peacefully went Home on Monday, October 2, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4 at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with Rev. Chip Miller officiating. Burial will be private. The family will meet friends tonight from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family graciously ask that donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201 or Compassus Hospice, 115 Arkwright Landing, 31210.
Jackie was born April 9, 1930 to Adelbert Brown and Virginia Dunn Brown in Hapeville, Georgia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother “Mimi”, sister, “adopted mother” and friend. She touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She found her greatest joy in her relationship with the Lord and with others. Her heart was open to everyone she came in contact with. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Jackie was predeceased by her parents, her step-mother Elizabeth King Brown, her husband, Albert Sheram Kelly and her son, Albert Joseph Kelly.
Survivors include daughters, Kathryn Hawthorne of Macon and Susan Kelly of Wichita Falls, TX; sisters, Kathryn Anglin of LaFayette, TN and Mary Frances Adams, Columbus, GA.; grandchildren, Scott Hawthorne, Renee (Robin) Page, Amy Carlson, Michael Slater, Justin Kelly and Lindsey Kelly; six great grandchildren and one great –great grandchild.
