

Ouida Palmer Braddy, 92, passed away Wednesday at a local nursing care facility. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11:00am at Glenwood Hills Baptist Church with Dr. Otis Andrew officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will meet friends from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, Friday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue.
Mrs. Braddy, wife of the late Benjamin Frank Braddy, was born in Kibbee, GA the daughter of the late George W. and Lula Tapley Palmer. Living in Macon most of her life, she owned and operated Braddy Draperies. She was a charter member of Glenwood Hills Baptist Church. Mrs. Braddy was also a member of Woodmen of the World and served as secretary for thirty-five years. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joan Lee and siblings, Huey, Whit, Robert and Nina. Above all, she was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother of three generations, sister and aunt.
Those left to cherish her memory, her son, Robert Braddy; grandchildren, Penny Lamb, Pamela Fields, Jonathan Shane Braddy and Larri Prince; great grandchildren, Matthew Lamb, Ashley Pharis and Jonathan Shane Braddy, III, Ron Fields, Jr., and Eric Smith; two great great grandchildren; sisters, Zelma Braswell and Peepsie McLendon; several nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Cookie.
