Pamela Panter Gibson, 72, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Road with the Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery, North Gate. Pam was born in Chattanooga, TN to the late Weyman Charles Panter and Juanita Green Panter. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hall Gibson, Jr. Pam received her Master’s Degree in education from Georgia Southern. She was a retired teacher where she taught at Monroe Academy and Jackson High School in Butts County. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her son, William Hall Gibson, III of Athens, GA; grandson, Weyman Hall Gibson of Athens and his mother, Laura Denise Gibson; brother, Greg (Dottie) Panter of Lexington, KY; three nieces, Dr. Caitlin Panter Wilson, Dorothy Panter and Claire Panter (Matt) Walz all of Lexington, KY; her special fur baby, Cupcake.
