Patricia Atwater Goldburg

Patricia Atwater Goldburg, 84, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018. A visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to any animal rescue agency or the donor’s favorite charity.

Pat, the daughter of the late Frank and Era B Atwater, was born January 19, 1934 in Tampa, Florida. She graduated from Hillsborough High School and then attended the University of Tampa. Mrs. Goldburg later earned a Bachelor of Science in early education from University of South Florida. She eventually moved to Macon, Georgia to be close to family. Pat had an affection for all animals, particularly cats. She enjoyed playing tennis, bridge, and cooking but her greatest love was family, especially her grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Gilbert Goldburg, son, Marc Elliott Goldburg, brother, Frank Bowman Atwater, Jr., and sister, Lawayne Frances Wyatt. She is survived by her daughter, Layne Goldburg Dunwody (Doug) of Macon, granddaughter, Eryn Dunwody Deiler (Bob) of Macon; grandson, Marc Damon Dunwody of Augusta, Georgia.
