Randall Harrison Murphy

MACON – Randall “Randy” Harrison Murphy, 55, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Burial will be private. Rev. John Napoli will officiate. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM on Thursday until service time at the church.

Mr. Murphy was born in Macon and had lived here for most of his life. He was the son of the late George Harrison Murphy. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifford and Winifred Dorman and Crawford Harrison and Ada Murphy. Mr. Murphy was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed living everyday to its fullest, especially football, fishing, being outdoors, Southern Rock and local musicians. Mr. Murphy was a devoted fan of the University of Georgia Bulldogs, an avid reader and loved music.

Mr. Murphy is survived by his mother, Lillian Dorman Murphy of Concord, NC; sister, Beverly Murphy (Morris) Bell of Concord, NC; niece, Carrie Winifred Bell; many very close friends, including, Pam Petersen; his two cats, Speedy and Cloudy.
