

Raymond Lee Jones, 74, died on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. A Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Mikado Baptist Church with the Rev. Rusty Smith officiating. The family will greet friends followin the Memorial Service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mikado Baptist Church, 6751 Houston Road, Macon 31216.
Raymond was born on July 25, 1941 to the late William Edward (Neil) and Bessie Lee Williams Jones. He was a member of Mikado Baptist Church where he served as deacon, Sunday School superintendent and was an active member of the Harvesters Sunday School Class. Raymond was retired after over 40 years with Sara Lee Baking Company, formerly known as Colonial Baking Company. Raymond was a former member of the Macon Exchange Club and a regular participant in the Senior Men’s Golf Group at Oakview. Raymond was preceded in death by his brother, James Edward Jones.
Raymond credited his lifetime of happiness to the grace of God and is now in Heaven because of his faith in his Lord, Jesus Christ. His love of God was evident in his lifelong, loving commitment to his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Raymond is survived by his wife of nearly 54 years, Ida Jeanette Rinehart Jones; his children, Raymond Neil Jones (Melissa), Byron, John Morgan Jones (Tammy), Macon, and James Michael Jones (Kim), Macon; grandchildren, Ryan Michael Jones (Amber), Cherry Point, NC, Bradford Morgan Jones (Keilah), Juliette, and Haleigh Noel Jones, Macon, as well as his brother, William Carson Jones (Diane), Selma, AL and numerous nieces and nephews.
