

Smithville Lake, Missouri - Richard "Rick" Charles Hollman, 75, passed away on February 17, 2026, after a tragic car accident at Smithville Lake in Missouri. Born on February 1, 1951, in Jacksonville, Florida, Rick grew up in a loving family.
Rick graduated from Marist High School before earning his bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia.
In his younger years, Rick excelled in athletics, specifically basketball. He shared a passion for basketball and UGA football with his daughter Lauren. His love for sports mirrored his enthusiasm for life's simple pleasures.
A natural talent in sales, he built a successful career with Seiko, where he was recognized as the top salesman of the year. His skill and charisma in the jewelry industry reflected his father's influence and left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike. He later endeavored successfully in hospitality sales.
Though a private individual, Rick was known for his kindness and willingness to help those around him. He cherished his family and took pride in their accomplishments. He is survived by his daughter, Lauren Hollman Fried and her husband Joseph Fried of Macon, Georgia. Rick found joy in hearing updates about his grandsons-Edlin St Vil (26), Davis Fried (10), and Cooper Fried (7).
Rick is also survived by his sister Kim Hollman of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers Greg Hollman (Pat) of Decatur, Georgia and Dan Hollman (Lucy) of Cumming, Georgia; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond Charles Hollman and Barbara Lynch Hollman.
Rick's memory will be cherished by those who knew him. A private family graveside service will be held on Friday, March 6th, 2026 at Riverside Cemetery. Rev. Joe McDaniel will officiate.
