

Richard Jackson “Jack” Witcher, 88, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 12:15 PM Wednesday, April 26, 2017 in Riverside Cemetery entering through the North Gate. Rev. John Kinser will officiate. The family will greet friends from 11:00 until 12:00 Noon on Wednesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street.
Mr. Witcher was born in Cedartown, Georgia the son of the late Gladys Vela Bowman Witcher and Richard Jackson Witcher, Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Ingham Witcher in 2011. Mr. Witcher was a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Past Commander of Post 7007. Mr. Witcher was of the Presbyterian Faith and was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway.
Mr. Witcher is survived by his son, Michael David Witcher and his wife, Elizabeth of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Bethany Cash, Sally Hatcher, and David Witcher; great-grandchildren, Ava Cash, Cayden Cash, Lola Evans, Gia Evans, Alexa Evans, Griffin Hatcher, and Davis Hatcher.
