Rose M. Foster

Rose McKinney Foster, 91, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Chuck Beaver officiating. The family will meet friends from 5 – 7 p.m., Wednesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Northridge Baptist Church Building Fund, 2360 Gray Highway, Macon 31211.

Mrs. Foster, wife of the late Richard W.”Dick” Foster was born in Lizella the daughter of the late Nettie E. Burnett and Berta W. McKinney. She served with the U. S. Air Force during ’53 and ’54 and was a sales associate for many years with Elder Beerman of Piqua, OH. Mrs. Foster loved to travel and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Red Hat Society. She was a member of the United Church of Christ, Covington, OH. Mrs. Foster was a resident of Lynn Haven Health and Rehabilitation Facility where she looked forward to playing Bingo.

She is survived by her devoted family, her son, Ben (Sally) Murphey of Troy, OH; her daughter, Patricia (Charles) Asbell of Gray; her son, Russ (Carol) Foster of Enon, OH; two brothers, Jewett (Juanita) McKinney and Lawton (Lorine ) McKinney, all of Lizella; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
