Ruby Knowles Lord

MACON, GA - Ruby Knowles Lord, 85 of Macon, passed away after an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held 2P.M., Tuesday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with the Reverend Len Strozier officiating. The Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lord was the widow of James C. Lord. She was born in Telfair County to the late Alice Lee Oliver and John Lewis Knowles. She was retired from Southern Bell, where she worked in the accounting department. She was a member of New Heights Baptist Church and Bell South Pioneers. Mrs. Lord loved to travel with her friends. She is preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Godbee and two brothers, William Russell Knowles and Daniel Lee Knowles.

Mrs. Lord is survived by daughters, Paula L. (Michael) Mimbs of Canton, GA, Cindy L. (Steve) Oldham of Macon; son, Victor J. Lord of Macon; Brothers, Charlie M. Knowles of McRae, GA and Bennie T. Knowles of Byron; Grandchildren, Nicholas Mimbs, Justin Mimbs, Sloane Oldham and Philip Oldham.
