So sorry to learn of Ruthie’s passing.  She was in our carpool from first grade thru high school.  I remember her always smiling,  always cheerful.   My deepest sympathies to the family.

Ruth was so much fun to be around. She lit up the room wherever she was. She was so active and helpful in so many ways at The Cannonball House, volunteering and supporting us. In particular we will miss those delicious dishes she contributed to our annual Beards, Bourbon & BBQ event. RIP sweet Ruth. You will be deeply missed. Heartfelt condolences go out to her precious family. 

We haven't visited with Ruthie (as we knew her) in a long time. She was always bright and beautiful. Tom, we are very sorry for your loss.

I really enjoyed getting to know Ruth over the years. She was such a strong and unique individual.  Her posts on Facebook were so often entertaining. And the grapes she brought to Beards, Bourbon and BBQ are legendary. So sorry for her loss

Godspeed and Farewell Mrs Ruth.  A true Southern Lady and a Blessing to all that knew her.  May His Peace bring some measure of His Comfort to us all in our loss.  Rest Easy, Dear Lady.

Ruth and I were classmates at Northside High School.  I remember her cheerful spirit and that she was well liked by everyone.  I also enjoyed staying in touch with her over the years via Facebook.  I will miss her strength and optimism.  My sincere condolences to her family.

Brenda and I were so sorry to hear about Ruth's passing. She was our friend for so many wonderful years. Our hearts and prayers go out to you, Tom, and Jennifer and all the family. May God, by His Spirit, comfort as only HE  can.

I worked with Ruth several years ago at Star Choices and we kept in touch for many years!  She was that kind of friend.  From the moment I met her, we instantly bonded and I considered her a close friend  even though we were miles apart!  She touched so many lives with her work, her sense of humor, her little anecdotes and stories, her love for her associates and of course her family!   She will truly be missed but I know her legacy and the blessing of her friendship will live on forever!  Thank you for blessing us with  so many of your wonderful attributes and we will remember you fondly!  Rest In Peace,  my friend.  You were a warrior!  ❤️😇

I met Ruth online through Remembering Rich's Department Store and then met her in person at my shop. She was smart, savvy, funny and adorable. RIP Ruth 

Ruth was a classmate at Northside High and everyone was her friend. I later enjoyed countless facebook encounters. She will be missed by many. She is at home with her Lord and undoubtedly livening up the place. RIP friend.

The quiet, efficient way she had with any task, and the way she always managed to make it fun.  
The dedication she had to lifting up anyone vulnerable. 
She was one of the few who stood with us during a very difficult time in Macon.  
Her love of animals, her stories about her dad, her devotion to her children and grandchildren.   Her rapier wit.  Her love of quirky talented people.   
The last time I saw her at the Chinese restaurant in Macon a few years ago, how fragile she felt in our final hug.
I'd been praying nightly for Ruth for weeks.  
And somehow I knew  Friday night would be her last on this earth.  
I prayed for a light-filled journey, and blessings on her way.  
She will be remembered with love and affection.

I will never forget all our get togethers!  Ruth was the life of the party and most of the time the organizer and chief cook. She always made all the theme related birthday cakes.  We watched all the Georgia games together ....Wagers will never be the same without her!  She loved the Bulldogs!  She was somewhat opinionated  but everyone loved her feistiness.   Ruth was so kind, always willing to help others and loved doing it.   I will really miss my friend!  Praying for Tom, Jennifer, Kristen, and all the grans who adored their MeMom!  Love to the entire family! ❤️

Mrs. Stevens is survived by her husband of 52 years, Thomas E. Stevens and her daughters, Jennifer Stevens (Lee) O’Kelley and Kristen Stevens (Tom) Dorety; her grandchildren, Jordan, Tommy, Brendan, and Emily; one bonus granddaughter, Morgan O’Kelley.
