

MACON – Sarah Frances Harvey, 85, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Todd Sullens officiating. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. They suggest that memorial contributions be made to Ingleside United Methodist Church, 3187 Ridge Avenue, Macon 31204.
Mrs. Harvey, wife of the late George Benson Harvey, Jr., was a lifelong resident of Macon and was the daughter of the late Rex Harrell and Sally Mae Beecher Harrell. She was a graduate of Miller High School and was the bookkeeper retired from Acme Paint Co. Mrs. Harvey was a member of Ingleside United Methodist Church where she was active in the life of her church and was a charter member of the James L. Brake Sunday School Class. Mrs. Harvey was also preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Harvey Williams and her brother, Everett Harrell.
Survivors include her son, George B. Harvey III of Macon; four grandchildren, Nicole H. Sullens of Hamilton, Debbie W. Williams of Atlanta, Jenny Williams of St. Simons and Wade Williams of Macon; seven great grandchildren and her sister, Virginia Bass of Macon.
