

STEVEN DWIGHT SAGER LIZELLA – Steven Dwight Sager passed away on January 5, 2010 after a battle with lung cancer. Memorial services with Military Honors will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lizella Baptist Church with the Rev. Shannon Back officiating. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Promote Encouragement) Care Ministry, c/o Lizella Baptist Church, 2950 S. Lizella Road, Lizella, GA 31052. Mr. Sager was born in Austria to his military family. He grew up in various parts of the United States and abroad. After high school graduation, he began his twenty-two year career with the U. S. Army. He married the woman of his dreams on December 11, 1995 and they shared fourteen years together. Mr. Sager was a driver for Perdue Farms for the past five years. He was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheri O. Sager of Lizella; two children, Stephanie Sager of California and Carolyn Ballard of Nevada; brothers-in-law, Ronnie (Heleana) Caya, Mark (Melissa) Caya and Stan (Michelle) Gordon; sisters-in-law, Sheila Caya and Tammy (Tony) Lazio; his grandchildren, Isaiah, Immanuel and Sydney Ballard and Devin, Joshua and Hannah Hourta of California; his mother-in-law, Joan Caya of Nevada.
