A visitation will be held at Snow's Memorial Chapel, located at 1419 Bass Road, Macon, Georgia, 31210, on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery, on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 3:00 pm. Dr. Laudis H. "Rick" Lanford will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Georgia Hospice Partners, 104 Whiting Way, Suite 150, Warner Robins, Georgia, 31088.
Tommy was born in Montezuma, Georgia the son of the late Nancy Mabel Stripling Alston and Thomas K. Alston, Sr. He was a retired Captain with the Macon Police Department and was also a retired Sheriff of Civil Court with Bibb County. Tommy was of the Methodist Faith and was a member of the Masons and the Scottish Rite. He was a member of the Georgia Peace Officers Association and the Sparky O'Cain Fraternal Order of Police. Tommy was also a member of the Forsyth Golf Club and Oakview Golf Club.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Sybil Smith Alston of Macon; sons, Thomas "Tommy" Kay Alston, III (Cheryl) of Macon and Michael "Todd" Alston of Macon; daughter, Shaun Howard (Daren) of Macon; 3 grandchildren, Mallory Israel, Emily Birdsong, and Sarah Weinstein; 5 great-grandchildren.
Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road, has charge of arrangements.
