

MACON – Tiny Stocks Smaha, of 5300 Zebulon Road, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the age of 94. Graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery at 9:15 AM on Wednesday followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 AM at Vineville United Methodist Church. Dr. Marcus Tripp and Rev. Jimmy Duke will officiate. The family will greet friends from 5:30 until 7:30 PM Tuesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the American Cancer Society, P O Box 4406, Macon 31208 or American Heart Association, 5962 Zebulon Road #359, Macon 31210 or Vineville United Methodist Church, 2045 Vineville Avenue, Macon 31204.
Mrs. Smaha was born in Barnesville, Georgia and was the daughter of the late John W. Stocks and Mary Gladys Wellmaker Stocks and the widow of Philip Patrick Smaha. Tiny graduated from Gordon High School and Junior College and was a member of Vineville United Methodist Church, the Ed Cook Sunday School Class, and the Macon Woman’s Club.
Mrs. Smaha is survived by her children, Joseph P. (Shirley) Smaha of Sanibel Island, Donald W. (Sondra) Smaha of Birmingham and Carol S. (Monty) Cheshire of Macon; eight grandchildren, Alicia S. Burr of Chicago, Jo S. Donnar of Indianapolis, Amy S. McCloud of Brunswick, Emily S. Harrell of Atlanta, Shannon A. Sturgil of Denver, John W. Smaha of Birmingham, Philip M. Cheshire of Jacksonville and Mary Alice Cheshire of Macon; eleven great-grandchildren; twenty six nieces and nephews.
