Trula Hudson Helms, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 27, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 1, 2018 at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with burial following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Elder Dan Bryant will officiate. The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 the afternoon of the service and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Bryan Parrish, 5872 Sardis Church Road, Macon 31216.
Mrs. Helms was born in Macon, Georgia the daughter of the late Gertrude Hunt Hudson and William Hudson and was preceded in death by her son, Chadwick “Chad” Edward Helms. She was retired from the Department of Family and Children’s Services for the State of Georgia and attended Grace Primitive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Helms is survived by her husband, Milas Edward Helms of Macon; daughter, Alicia Belflower (Lance) of Byron; grandchildren, Rachel and Charles Belflower; brother, Oney Hudson (Ann) of Macon.
