Virgia Lee Dorr

Virgia Lee Dorr, 85, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Vineville Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Dr. William Richard Kremer, Pastor and Rev. Ron Holland will officiate. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vineville Baptist Church, 2591 Vineville Avenue, Macon, GA 31204. Mrs. Dorr was born in Macon, Georgia the daughter of the late Catherine Lanford Smith and William Harrison Smith. She was a graduate of A. L. Miller High School, worked as an accountant for Cornell Young Concrete Company, and retired from Panaprint Printing Company as Account Manager. Mrs. Dorr was an active member of Vineville Baptist Church and was an excellent wife, mother, and cook. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. Mrs. Dorr is survived by her husband, Herman Dorr; children, Cathy Price (Bill), Joey O’Neal, and Cathy Salmon; grandchildren, Tripp Price, Ashley Brewster (Jake), Kristin Jester (Daniel), Meredith Salmon, and Bryan Salmon; great-grandchildren, Dalton Jester, MacKenzie Jester, and Kenlie Salmon.
