Walter “Pete” Darley, Jr., 71, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery (Northgate) with the Rev. Taylor Kelly officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brightmoor Hospice, 115 Arkwright Landing, Macon GA 31210 or donor’s favorite charity.
Walter was born in Dublin, Georgia to the late Walter Darley, Sr. and Auntry Glover Darley. He was retired from Sanco Products as Sales Manager. Walter was a proud member of the Exchange Club of Macon. He was an award-winning taxidermist and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and PeePaw.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Mary Alice Darley of Macon, daughters, Kelley (Shawn) Sinclair of Macon, Kasey (Cam) Yearty of Houston, TX, and grandchildren, Nolan, Norah, Novie and Nash Sinclair and Cruz Yearty.
