

William “Bill” M. Cochran, 84, passed away Friday, October 3, 2014. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Father Allan McDonald will officiate. A Rosary will be said at 5:00 PM Friday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue and the family will greet friends following. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 4074 Chambers Road, Macon 31206.
Mr. Cochran was born in Union City, Georgia the son of the late Frank and Mattie Mae Bearden Cochran. He was retired from the United States Navy and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Mr. Cochran was preceded in death by his first wife, Joann Ledford Cochran.
Mr. Cochran is survived by his wife, Marjorie Small Cochran of Lizella; children, Brenda (Jimmy) Barbee of Macon, Frank (Holly) Cochran of Macon and Stan Cochran; step-children, Barbara Victoria (Terry) Harris and Joanna (Raymond) Williams; grandchildren, John, Melissa, Greg, and Christopher Cochran; step-grandchildren, Kimberly (Stevie) Pringle and Julia Taylor; brothers, Leon (Joan) Cochran and Joe Cochran; sister, Delene McCrary; several nieces and nephews.
