William Dodson (“Bill”) Sparks is survived by his sisters, Patricia Sparks Lyndon of Athens, Georgia, and Jacqueline Ann Sparks of South Kingstown, Rhode Island, and brother, Augustus O.B. “Tav” Sparks III of Mill Valley, California.
He is predeceased by his parents, A.O.B. (“Gus”) Sparks, Jr., and Patricia Reynolds Carpenter. Bill was a member of the Arc Macon residential community, where he had many friends and supporters. He loved sports, especially his Georgia Bulldogs, and enjoyed bowling, basketball, bocce and golf. Music was an important part of his life and playing his guitar was one of his favorite pastimes.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at Arc Macon at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to Arc of Macon, 4664 Sheraton Drive, Macon GA 31210.
