

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Wendy (Madelung) DeStefano; their 3 children and 2 sons-in-law, Teri and David Fallon, April DeStefano, Danielle and Jason O’Connell; their 5 grandchildren, Riley, Mary, Cooper, Eliot, and Gia; and brother Richard DeStefano. He is pre-deceased by his brother, Ronald DeStefano. Anthony also leaves behind many loving and cherished family members and friends.
Anthony was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a mechanic by trade and a self-proclaimed entrepreneur who could do anything he set his mind to. He also worked as a custodian for the Madison Public School System for 10 years, from which he ultimately retired. His most enjoyable moments were spent with friends and family, sitting in the warm summer sun with a glass of red wine and a cigar.
Family and friends may visit the Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Rd., Madison, on Thursday February 6 from 4-8pm. A memorial service will be held Friday at 10am at the Branford Free Evangelical Church, 231 Leetes Island Rd. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery in New Haven.
