George Y. Iead Sr.

George Yale Iead, Sr., 79, of Naples, FLA, formerly of Colchester, passed away November 11, 2010 in Naples, FLA after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Sandra Iead and the son of the late Marie and Myer Iead. George was a U. S. Navy veteran. He worked in construction for many years before going into business for himself; owning and operating Continental Limousine Service until his retirement. George had a great love of animals, often bringing home strays. He had an exceptional ear for music and could play several instruments, much to everyone’s enjoyment. George never passed up a trip to Disney World. He is survived by his son George Y. Iead, Jr. of Westport, sister Linda (Michael) Bencivengo of North Branford, and brother Dan (Kathryn) Iead Of Cape Cod, MA, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friend from 5 to 8 PM Friday at the Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Rd. Madison. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Saturday at St. Mary’s Church Church, 5 Hillhouse Ave, New Haven with Committal to follow at Beaverdale Cemetery in Hamden.
