June A. Menzies, 81 of Madison passed away November 1, 2009. She was born November 10, 1927 in New Haven to the late Harold and Helen (Nugent) Carroll. June is survived by three children; Linda Menzies of Maui, Marilyn Pageau and her husband, Charles of Clinton, Pete Menzies and his wife, Jean (Schiess) of Old Saybrook. June is also survive by four grandchildren; Heather Ebright, Shanna Slizofski, Logan Menzies, Sarah Menzies and a sister, Marilyn Carroll of Madison. June graduated from Hamden Hall in 1944, Columbia University and was a retired dental hygienist having worked with Dr. Winchester for over 25 years in Madison. She volunteered many years ago teaching Sunday school at the United Methodist Church in Clinton and enjoyed sailing, traveling, theater and raising German Shepards. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM Friday at the Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Rd., Madison at which time a brief service will be held at 4:00 PM.
