

He was born on 3/26/43 in Springfield, MA, the eldest son of the late Laurence F Sr. and Doris (Shepard) Brundrett. He graduated from Technical High School in Springfield, MA and received his bachelor’s degree from Lowell Technical College (UMASS Lowell) and his MBA from Western New England University.
He proudly served his country in the US Army as a 1st Lieutenant (1LT) in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and served in the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970. He was awarded the National Defense service medal, the Vietnam service medal, the Vietnam campaign medal, and the Bronze Star medal. He loved his country and the US Army.
He resided in Madison, CT for over 45 years. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia. A long-time resident of Madison, he worked for many years as an engineer for Sikorsky Aircraft and retired from the US Internal Revenue Service.
He was the commander for the Madison VFW post 2096 and a lifetime VFW member. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 79 of Madison. He marched in all the Madison Memorial Day parades and was so happy to give the Memorial Day parade speech. He organized the Veteran’s Day ceremonies at the Madison Public schools and gave out student awards for the papers the students wrote on veterans. He loved going to each school and working with the teachers and students and he made dear friends from his work at the Madison public schools. He was SO proud of being a Veteran and serving his country and wanted to make sure the students learned about Veterans.
He also served on the Madison Board of Education for many years and was on other town committees. He was a member of the Madison Exchange club and was a Boy Scout leader. He also helped coach his kids in Madison little league and was always active in the lives of his children and the Madison community.
He was a parishioner of First Congregational Church of Madison where he was part of many church boards and committees.
He is survived by his children, Kevin Brundrett of Old Saybrook, CT, Julie Mendez of Ivoryton, CT, Matthew Brundrett (Jill Paget) of Los Angeles, CA, and Mark Brundrett (Andrea) of Clinton, CT
In addition, he adored his four Grandchildren - Alison Brundrett, Luis Mendez, Otto Brundrett and is with his grandson Patrick Brundrett who he preceded in death.
He is also survived by his brother, Alan Brundrett (Karen) of Plano, TX, and his sisters - Dawn LaBarre (Jean) of Southwick, MA, Eliane Czapienski (John) of Chicopee, MA, Marcia Bamber of Ludlow, MA, Heather Pereira of Ludlow, MA and Cynthia Brundrett (Ted Bryant) of Bradford, NH. His sisters in law, Joan Daly of Agawam, MA, Sandra Daly of Schenectady, NY. His brother-in-law, Frederick Daly of Mendon, MA. He also leaves behind his godchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his sister, Roberta Brundrett and brothers in law, David Daly, Stephen Daly, Francis Daly, and his mother and father-in-law, Francis and Helen Daly.
He was a member of the Luby Family Association where he leaves behind numerous (too many to list) nieces, nephews and cousins. He loved spending time with them, especially at the Luby family reunion and at the Luby Cottage.

Calling hours will be on May 3rd from 2pm -6pm at Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Rd, Madison, Ct. Services will be at 10am on May 4th, at First Congregational Church of Madison, 26 Meetinghouse Ln. Madison, CT 06443, followed by Full military honors and burial at West Cemetery, Boston Post Rd in Madison Ct. There will be a celebration of life luncheon at 12 noon on May 4th at Westbrook Elks Lodge 142 Seaside Ave Westbrook, CT.
