Lorraine L. Harrison

HARRISON, LORRAINE L. Lorraine Linehan Harrison, 79, of Killingworth, passed away November 24, 2012, at Connecticut Hospice. Lorraine was born July 4, 1933, the daughter of the late James and Grace Mousch Linehan. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High, Middletown, Class of 1951. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Russell Harrison. Lorraine was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a Charter Member of St. Lawrence Women's Guild. She was a devoted mom and grandmother. Lorraine worked as the school secretary at Killingworth Elementary School for 25 years, from 1974 to 1999. After retiring, she volunteered at the CT Welcome Center in Westbrook and was an active member of Killingworth Seniors. Lorraine was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox and the UCONN Women's basketball team. Lorraine is survived by her son, Brian Harrison of West Swanzey, NH; son, Mark Harrison of Killingworth, CT; daughter, Norene Koester and husband Jeff of Casselberry, FL, and their four children (Lorraine's grandchildren) Keith , Grace, Lee , and Amy. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley (Linehan) Hawkes and husband Jerry of Oakdale, CT, four nieces and their spouses, six grand nephews and five grandnieces. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 7 Hemlock Drive, Killingworth, at 11 am, Wednesday, November 28th, 2012. Lorraine's children wish to thank her relatives, her dear friends and the wonderful staff of both Connecticut Hospice and Middlesex Home Hospice for their support and care throughout her illness.
