Michael Simeone, 64, of Madison, passed away on February 22, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 7, 1959, in New Haven, Mike was the son of the late John Simeone and Mary (Consorte) Simeone.
A longtime resident of Madison, Michael grew up in East Haven, CT, where he served as an auxiliary police officer.
Mike was a kind and thoughtful man who always put family and friends first. His unique sense of humor and easy-going personality always made you feel happy and loved.
A devoted husband and father, Michael loved to spend time with his family. He loved going on cruises, was a Boy Scout leader and Little League umpire, and attended all his daughter’s performances. He loved spoiling her and her cat, Bad Girl.
Mike was a talented cook, and loved watching Delicious Destinations. He and his wife Camille and her best friend Laurie would often drive to Rhode Island to dine at each featured restaurant. Mike dreamed of having his own show, “Cook with the Hook”. He always tried out new recipes for his family, some much more successful than others!
Mike was a huge Patriots fan and was a season ticket holder for 25 years with his best friends, Ronnie and Angelo. They all loved tailgating and making new friends at every game.
Mike retired from People’s Bank, where he worked for many years, and made many lifelong friends. The stories he told about the shenanigans that went on made us wonder how anything ever got done!
Mike leaves behind his beloved wife of 38 years, Camille, and their children, Camille and John. He is survived by his brother John (Denise) Simeone, and many nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Mike’s family would like to thank the wonderful team at Smilow at YNHH for their care and support, and for all our friends and family that have been with us throughout this journey.
In lieu of flower, please consider donating to your favorite charity, and going out to dinner with your loved ones.
