

Nicholas William Mozzillo, 86, of Madison, CT passed away on January 21, 2025.
Nick Mozzillo, son of Nicholas and Ida Mozzillo passed on January 21st after a brief illness.
He is survived by his two daughters, Cynthia Benzi and Christine Mozzillo. He is also survived by his grandson, Nicholas Andrew and his son in law, John Benzi, Jr.
He was the husband of his beloved wife Ruth of 55 years who predeceased him in 2019.
Nick played baseball from childhood and well into his adult years. In 1956 he was playing in the American Legion Baseball League and had a batting average of .450 and won the Judge James A. Shanley Award for outstanding player. He was an amazing athlete and was scouted by major league baseball teams. He was a die-hard New York Yankees fan and almost never missed watching a game.
Nick honorably served on active duty in the Army from 1958 to 1960 and then worked to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of New Haven.
He enjoyed his career and continued to work at The Madison Beach Club and H&R Block after retirement.
Nick cherished his family and held his life-long friends dear to his heart.
He also enjoyed hobbies such as gardening and woodworking.
Nick was a great husband, father, and friend and will be missed.
The burial will occur Friday, May 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM at West Cemetery, Madison, CT.
