Victor Marquez

Victor D. Marquez, 87, was a lifelong resident of Madison, CT. He was born in Lima, Peru, met and married his wife, Eugenia Marquez in New York City, and they made their home in Madison ,CT. Victor was a devoted husband and father who cherished time spent with family. In addition to raising their children, he maintained his career as a Captain in the Merchant Marine and was an active member in the Master, Mates and Pilots Union. He loved his wife, his kids, his grandkids, and extended family and simply loved life. In addition to his wife Eugenia, he is survived and will be dearly missed by Arleen Berardino (daughter) and her husband Dave Berardino of Norwalk, CT; Vicky Keeshan (daughter) and her husband Bob Keeshan of Glastonbury, CT; and four (4) grandchildren: Alexis, Alyssa, Brooke & Nicole, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, and dear friends. Visitation hours will be January 30, 2015 from 5pm-8pm at the Swan Funeral Home in Madison, CT. Funeral services will be held at St. Margaret’s Church in Madison, CT on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his memory may also be made to the Union Plus Scholarship Program at UnionPlus.org/Scholarship.
