Donald Clayton Myers, age 84, of Madison Heights, MI passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. Donald was born April 22, 1936, in Detroit, to Clayton & Viola (Frank) Myers. He grew up in Royal Oak where he graduated from Madison Heights High School. He married Marilyn Kay (Weaver) Myers 64 years ago.
Donald is survived by his wife Marilyn, sons; Donald Clayton Jr. (Robin) and Christopher Myers, grandchildren; Nicolas & Amanda and sister-in-law Jamey Anne. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Yovonne Frances and many nieces and nephews.
Donald worked at D.T.E. Energy, formally Michcon for 40 years, he retired at age 59. He spent his life traveling between Florida and Michigan. He loved being Up North.
A Visitation will be held Sunday, June 7, 2020 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071. A Funeral Services will be Monday, June 8, 2020 at 11:00 AM, 30351 Dequindre Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071. Burial will follow services at Oakview Cemetery, 1032 N Main St, Royal Oak, MI 48067. A burial will occur.
