The first thing I think of when I think of Aunt Elaine is that big smile. I don’t think I ever saw her get cross with anyone. 
My favorite memories were the big family Christmas get-togethers at Aunt Skip’s house in Oxford. Total chaos, laughing, singing and Aunt Elaine unfazed by the cacophony. Every once in a while she’d tilt her head down and raise an eyebrow, still smiling but she made her point. Quiet down y’all! 
I also remember how much she loved that little Tiramisu. She also doted on her children and grandchildren and of course, Uncle Chuck. 
What a gracious woman, a sweet aunt and I’m sure heaven welcomes her while we will miss her. The Swanson reunion in heaven wouldn’t be complete without that big smile welcoming the ones she loves.

Dear Dennis and family,
We are saddened by the loss of your Mom,  Elaine. 
Elaine was always very pleasant and helpful whenever we were at the funeral home.   She had a way to always us feel welcome.

What a wonderful person Elaine was here on earth! We all loved her at Madison Heights UMC. She always had the sweetest smile. Always! We loved seeing her at church and at the funeral home. I have thought about her often and would ask Dennis about her.
May our Lord comfort all the family and keep memories always in your hearts!

Elaine and her husband helped our family through many services over the years for cherished family members. Their dedication to assisting families through trying times will always be remembered and appreciated. Their son Dennis has been a comfort as he took the reins and continued the same kind and gentle spirit that is the Swanson way. Mrs. Swanson was bursting with pride whether at the funeral home or her new residence.   She knew what a symbol of service the Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home is.  I admired her grit in the office, always wrapped in a big smile.  Heartfelt sympathies to you and your family.

She always offered her assistance when I was helping in the funeral home.  Thank you Dennis for sharing your mother.

May our Lord be with the Swanson family during this time to morn Elaine's passing...and celebrate her life well lived.

I had the privilege to work with Mrs. Swanson for nearly 5 years. I will never forget how dedicated she was to her work and to her family. She she will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

To the whole Swanson family, I send my sincerest condolences. I met Ed & Elaine many years ago during our Model T Touring days. My late husband and I had the best time with them. We shared many laughs over the years. Elaine and I continued to exchange Christmas cards.  I’m so sorry that I won’t be able to attend the viewing as I’ll be on my way to Florida.  Heaven has gained another angel. RIP Elaine.

To the entire Swanson family, My sincere condolences to all of you for the passing of precious Elaine. I loved our little talks at Oakmont when I worked and always sharing hugs and little moments. I found your mom to be a precious soul and am so grateful for her presence on my shifts. The last 6 years have brought many changes but Elaine wanted to march on bravely as she didn't let much stop her. She is in Heaven with your dad and she can see everything!!! Hugs, thoughts and prayers to you all! Thank you for sharing your mom with us! Our lives are better for it!
