John "Bill" Ferries

John “Bill” Ferries, age 95, passed away on July 13, 2024. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 6, 1928 to his late parents John and Alice Ferries. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 74 years, Flora “Dolly” Ferries; loving children: David W. (Doris) Ferries, Tom (Laura) Ferries; and dear grandchildren: Shelby, Thomas, Victoria, and Katherine. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Valerie and brother, Eugene (Sonja) Ferries. Bill was a United State Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. He retired from Chrysler Automotive. He was a resident of Madison Heights for over 70 years and was very active within the city volunteering with the Memorial Day parade, youth assistance, library commission, and the woman’s club supporting his wife Dolly. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Madison Heights Library. Visitation, Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Edward Swanson and Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Rd., Madison Heights.
