Louise Harriet Manning, age 84, of Sterling Heights, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. She was born to the late Francis Wyland and Celine DeLattre in Hazel Park, Michigan. Louise graduated from Hazel Park High School, where she learned to play clarinet and was in the marching band. Later after her children were born she was proud to say she returned to college at Wayne State University and earned her Bachelor's Degree. Louise worked for the State of Michigan Family Independence Agency for 10 years before she retired in 2002.
Louise was serious and studious but also kind and generous. She valued education and encouraged her children to take advantage of any opportunity to learn. Louise enjoyed classical music and treasured the times when she would go out dancing with her Husband Paul in their retirement years. Every summer Louise spent a week out at Twin Lake with her grandchildren creating new memories as she watched them grow year after year. She was a devout Catholic; a proud member of St. Anne Parish for over 30 years.
Louise is survived by her children, Raymond, Kathleen, & Michele; Her grandchildren Paul, Daniel, Martha, & Michelle, and many Nieces & Nephews. She is preceded in death by her Husband Paul Manning; her Parents Francis & Celine; and Her Siblings Irene, Jim, Rita, Robert & Charmaine.
A Visitation for Louise will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071. Immediately following the Funeral Service, committal prayers will be said at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038.
