Born September 29, 1939, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Albert and Doris Critzer Edwards. He was retired from Primestar, Inc., and had worked for many years at Continental Telephone Co. He was an avid and lifelong Dodgers fan, and animal lover.
Survivors include four children, John Edwards and his wife Sharon, and Crystal Furtado, both of Bristow, VA, Elissa Aigeldinger and husband Rob, and Jenny Henson; special cousins, Vivian and Dee Strickland, all of Madison Heights; and his best-friend, Brian Falls, of Lynchburg; 9 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
Per Mr. Edwards wishes, the graveside portion of the service has been cancelled.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Amherst County Humane Society.
