Alice Mantiply Simpson

Born January 23, 1935 in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Jennie Hudson Mantiply and was also preceded in death by four brothers, Johnny, Leonard, Lincoln, and Albert and one sister, Gladys. She was a retired inspector with Wynn Precision with thirty-one years of service and a member of Elon Baptist Church.

Mrs. Simpson is survived by two sons, Jerry Ray Simpson and wife, Pam and Robert Preston Simpson and wife, Lynne, all of Madison Heights; four grandchildren, Dr. Christopher Simpson and wife Morgan, Jonathan Simpson and fiancée Misty Kidd, Melissa Simpson, and Dylan Simpson; one step-granddaughter, Tiffany Parker and husband, Jarrett and two great-grandchildren, Woodrow Lee Simpson and Blake Preston Simpson.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Steve Tyree officiating. Interment will follow at Elon Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. today, March 23, 2012 at the funeral home and other times at the residences of her sons.
