

Born July 8, 1934 in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late John Jordan Tomlin and Beulah Mae Tomlin and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Sue Tomlin and Ora Mae Tomlin and three brothers, Carlton A. Tomlin, William E. Tomlin, and Archie W. Tomlin. Mrs. Campbell was retired from the Central Virginia Training Center. She was a member of Monroe United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by her daughter, Carolyn C. Rhoades (Richard) of Tyro; two sons, Dale Reid Campbell (Susan) and Robert Walker Campbell (Darlene); two sisters, Mildred T. Falls and Patricia T. Cash, two brothers, Frank W. Tomlin (Joann), all of Madison Heights and Wayne C. Tomlin of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren, Mary Kay (Dean), Jeff, Jamie (Jimmy), Adam (Lauren), and Sabrina; thirteen great-grandchildren and three sisters-in-law, Diane V. Tomlin, Corinna Tomlin, and Connie Tomlin.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Josh Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at Briarwood Memorial Gardens in Amherst County.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Whitten Monelison Chapel and other times at Mrs. Campbell’s residence.
