Born on October 5, 1942 in Campbell County, she was the daughter of the late Edward Franklin Brooks and the late Myrtle Walker Brooks. Bonnie retired as a baker with the Lynchburg City Schools. She was also the owner/ operator of A&M Ceramics for 15 years. Bonnie enjoyed working outside in her garden, painting and spending time with her family. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a sister, Betty Rowland.
Bonnie is survived by her two daughters, Erin Ayers and Wendy Ayers; granddaughter, Brooke Maddox and husband Bobby; two great grandchildren, Braxton and Jaxson Maddox; brother, Kenneth “Bub” Brooks; two sisters, Becky Lipscomb and Barbara Stinnette; and numerous other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Please remember to wear a mask and follow the social distancing protocols.
