Brooke Clinton Shaw

Born on March 4, 1959, in Washington, D.C., and raised in West Springfield, VA, he was the son of the late Henry I. Shaw, Jr. and Juanita H. Shaw.

Brooke worked for Masco as a gutter installer for many years. He had a strong work ethic and a big heart, and was always happiest outdoors, enjoying life. Some of his favorite pastimes included camping, fishing, and hunting—especially being in the mountains. He also had a lifelong passion for working on vehicles, particularly Fords and diesel trucks. Above all, Brooke loved his family deeply, and his granddaughter Alayah was the pride and joy of his life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Pierc Shaw; his lifelong best friend, Franklin Day; and a close friend, Louis “Bo” Mason.

He is survived by his daughter, Chelsi N. Shaw (Stephen Greenwood); his granddaughter, Alayah Jayde Greenwood; two brothers, Drake Shaw (Cathy) and Marc Shaw (Mary); stepchildren, Jessica Mason and Cody Mason; his longtime partner and friend, Lisa J. Mason; close friend, Margaret Day; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other great friends.

Per the family’s request, services will be private.
