
Born May 8, 1935, in Campbell County, he was a son of the late Jessie L. Pugh and Flossie Wood Pugh. Mr. Pugh was retired from Allen Morrison Sign Company and attended Bethel Baptist Church.
He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Calvin, Carter, Huey, Willie, and Gene Pugh.
Survivors include his son, Curtis Nickerson, of Lynchburg; a sister, Lillie Wade, of Amherst; three brothers, Clayton Pugh, and Frank Pugh, both of Baltimore, and Jessie Pugh, of New London; special niece, Donna Tomlin, of Amherst, three grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 1, 2010, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel, and at other times at the residence of Lillie Wade.
A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2010, at Pugh Family Cemetery, by the Rev. Dave Peters.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
