Carolyn White North

Born July 27, 1945 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Wesley White and Ruth Gotschall White. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by the love of her life, Elmer Philipps. She was a retired CNA with Camelot Hall Nursing Home and was a member of Madison Heights Baptist Church.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Lisa Banton Bennington and husband Benny of Forest and Beth Fitzgerald Wood of Madison Heights; a brother, Butch White and twin sister, Cathryn W. Tuggle, both of Madison Heights; She is also survived by four grandchildren, Brennan Banton, Jordan Banton and fiancé Carter Garrett, Brooke Cheatham and husband Dimitri, and Dylan Wood. Carolyn is also survived by Kim Mays, whom she loved as a daughter and Carolyn’s “babies", Harley and Lucy.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with The Rev. Steve Tyree officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
