

Glenn was born in Lynchburg, September 2, 1959. He proudly served his country in the US Navy and US Army. He loved the outdoors where he spent a lot of time hiking and he was best known for his long goatee, carrying a “Moses” walking stick and hanging out at Sheetz. When you think of “Little C” you just think “what a cool dude”. He was a perfectionist at everything he did and had a heart as big as the outdoors. He was a child at heart, and also enjoyed skateboarding and was an avid motorcycle rider. He loved his family and spending time with friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil William Arthur and one grandson, Dylane Bryant.
Survivors include his mother, Lula Evelyn Tyree Arthur of Madison Heights; two daughters, Bridget Arthur Bryant and her husband Lloyd of Madison Heights and Tabitha Arthur Sprouse and her husband Michael of Monroe; one son, Cecil Orion Arthur of Halifax; one brother, William W. Arthur of Glasgow; one sister, Cathi Arthur Brown and her husband Chuck of Madison Heights; five grandchildren, Andrew Bryant, Nickolas Bryant, Hannah Bryant, Mickenly Kreuziger and Keely Kreuziger; two special nieces, Bayli Brown and Ramsi Brown; nieces, Heather Arthur and Megan Arthur and nephew, Logan Arthur and a special friend and the mother of his daughters, Luanne Mayhugh.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2012 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Gary L. Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
