Charles was born September 9, 1936, son of the late Charles Thomas Richeson and Mary O’Brien Richeson. He was a graduate of Amherst High School and Lynchburg College. He retired from Babcock & Wilcox NNFD after 27 years. He was a member of the National Guard, Lynchburg Antique Auto Club and served on the Amherst County School Board. He was a member of Monroe United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and restoring classic cars. He spent most of his life restoring classic cars and sharing his knowledge with his grandsons.
He is survived by his wife, and three daughters, Susan P. Richeson of Charlottesville, Vickie R. Englund (Ken) of Timberlake, and Jennifer R. Marsh (Chris) of Madison Heights. He is survived by his three grandsons, Charles K. Englund (Taylor), Ryan W. Marsh, Andrew C. Marsh and two step-grandsons, Brian A. Englund (Kristy), and Stephen W. Englund (Amy) and three step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Thomas E. Richeson (Maria) of Amherst and sister Louise R. Cutler (Tom) of Elon and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm – 1:45 pm on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel where a Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm officiated by Rev. Bob Allen and Rev. Dan Dibble.
